An investigation by Lt. David Cain resulted in the arrest of two people Sunday morning and the recovery of a vehicle reported stolen by the Alexandria Police Department in northern Kentucky.
While on patrol, Lt. Cain observed a 2017 Ford car near the old Greasy Creek Bridge off U.S. 127 South. Upon approaching the vehicle, Lt. Cain found Aaron Banks, 29, of Jamestown, and Ashley Crystell Petrosky, 29, of Miamisburg, Ohio, sleeping inside the car. Further investigation revealed the car had been reported stolen.
Banks and Petrosky were both arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property Over $10,000 in value.
Banks was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Opiates), Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Banks was also served with a warrant for Wanton Endangerment in connection with an incident in Jamestown several weeks ago.
Both were processed and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
