Two people injured in a two vehicle accident in Pulaski County over the weekend.
Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports that just after 7am Friday, deputies responded to the scene, 17 miles west of Somerset on Kentucky Highway 80. Sergeant Jon Williams' investigation determined that 49 year old Thomas Gambalie, of London, lost control of a 1991 Nissan and struck a 2017 Toyota, operated by McKayla Jones, age 21 of Windsor.
Both drivers were treated at the scene and transported to Lake Cumberland Medical Center by Pulaski County EMS. Mr. Gambalie was later transferred to UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Sheriff's units were assisted at the scene by members of the Nancy and Faubush Fire Departments.
Fog may have been a contributing factor in the cause of the accident.
