A man accused of burning a dog alive was arrested over the weekend in Pulaski County.
KSP responded to the scene on Meadow View Drive in Science Hill, where Troopers found a the dog deceased. As Trooper William Cowan approached the home, 40-year-old James Calhoun came out holding a hand-gun.
Calhoun was taken into custody after commands from police to drop the weapon. He was lodged in the Pulaski County on charges of Torture of a Dog or Cat 1st Offense, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree-Police Officer, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree and Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree.
