Columbia, Ky. (October 12, 2017) – 43-year-old Donald Wayne Christenberry, of Columbia, KY was arrested today (Thursday) at 4:27 AM CST on South Burkesville Road in the limits of Columbia and charged with Assault 1st degree and Assault 4th degree (domestic violence) Minor Injury. The charges stemmed from an investigation into a stabbing that occurred on an unknown area of Hwy. 206 when Christenberry allegedly stabbed 57-year-old Brent Ollery of Columbia. Ollery was taken to the TJ Sampson Hospital to be treated for a knife wound to the neck area and was then relayed by ambulance to the University of Louisville Hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. The ER notified law enforcement of the incident.
Following that incident, Christenberry returned to his residence on Spring Drive in Columbia and was involved in a second altercation with 48-year-old Brenda Lucas which led to the Assault 4th charge. Christenberry was lodged in the Adair County Jail. Detective Nick Davis is investigating.
