Casey County fiscal court met in regular session Monday.
In general business, a member of the extension board has resigned. Rachel Cundiff has taken a teaching job with the Casey County Board of Education. Barry Stringer was nominated to fill the remainder of the term. The motion passed unanimously.
The Court set trick-or-treating hours from 5 to 8pmET on Oct. 31, 2017 (Halloween).
Casey County Judge Executive Randy Dial and County Attorney Tommy Weddle have consulted an outside attorney to research the franchise agreement proposed by Duo County Telecom, and to compare that request with other county franchise agreements. The matter will be taken up at the next fiscal court meeting.
In Road business, the paving on Gumm Lick Road is complete. A representative for Hinkle Construction says all paving in the county should be done by Friday, weather permitting.
