Kentucky State Police investigated a two vehicle fatal collision on KY 61 near the intersection of KY 449, 6 miles south of Burkesville yesterday around 10:12p.m. CST.
Preliminary investigations indicate that 31 year-old Ryan Cleary of Burkesville was operating a 2011 Jeep north on KY 61. Cleary for an unknown reason crossed the centerline into the path of a 2011 Mack Semi truck and trailer being operated by 34 year-old Jordan Turner of Albany.
Cleary was transported to the Cumberland County Hospital by the Cumberland County EMS where he was pronounced dead by the Cumberland County Coroner.
Cleary and Turner were wearing their seat belts. Turner was not injured at the time of the collision.
Senior Officer Adam Davis is investigating and was assisted on scene by members of the Kentucky State Police Post 15, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management and EMS, Burkesville Police and Fire Departments.
