The Russell County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, is asking citizens to dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs during the National Drug Take Back Day tomorrow (October 28th) from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in front of the Russell County Middle School.
This drop-off point will give citizens an opportunity to dispose of all unwanted and unused prescription drugs. No syringes.
This program aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
