Columbia Police arrested a man after he broke into someone's home.
According to the police report, on Friday, October 27, 2017 Columbia Police were dispatched to a residence on Miller Avenue to a reported Burglary in Progress. Upon arrival, Officers Jordan Dean and Jamie Cole found that a door was open to the residence and the burglar had made entry into the home. A white male was found to be hiding in the back bedroom and fled when officers approached him. A short foot pursuit ensued before officers caught him and placed him in custody.
40-year-old Jessie Cross of Columbia, KY was arrested on charges of Burglary 2nd degree and Fleeing and Evading Police 1st degree on foot. CPD Officer Jordan Dean is continuing the investigation .
