The confessed killer of a Pulaski County woman will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Dwight Mitchell Bell was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole Thursday.
Ruthie Carolyn New was found dead in the activity center of the Denham Street Baptist Church in August. Bell stole New's car, but was later found in Tennessee.
During the sentencing Thursday, the judge called Bell a thief who “stole a life and the innocence from the community."
