Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports a multi-vehicle accident south of Burnside on Highway 27 sent five victims to the Hospital around 11:30am Saturday.
The accident happened just north of the Burnside Island entrance way.
Jack McDaniel, age 69 of Troy, Ohio was operating a 2016 Toyota Highlander, stopped in traffic attempting a left turn, when he was struck in the rear by a 1999 Ford F350 pickup truck pulling a cattle trailer. The truck was driven by Garin Wright, age 25 of Whitley City.
Three additional vehicles were unable to stop and a chain reaction resulted in a total of five vehicles being involved in the accident.
Pulaski County EMS treated transported all five victims to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries (three adults and two juveniles).
Sheriff's units were assisted at the scene by KSP and volunteers from the Tateville and Burnside Fire Departments.
