The Casey Co. Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.
Before starting regular business, the court recognized Chase Fayne, recently appointed as President of the South East Casey County Fire Department. Fayne did not address the court, but said he was there to observe how they conducted their meetings.
County Judge Executive Randy Dial brought to the court's attention that the terms of office for four members of the County Water Board had expired. He recommended the court reappoint the four, Gary Johnson with a term to expire June 30th, 2022, Lily Sandusky with a term to expire June 30th, 2021, Ricky Carman with a term to expire June 30th, 2020, and John McQueary with a term to expire June 30th 2019. The motion was passed by unanimous vote.
An affiliation agreement between Casey Co. Emergency Managment and the Lake Cumberland District Health Department was presented for the court's approval. The agreement was a "Mutual Aid" agreement for times of disaster. It was approved by unanimous vote.
Judge Dial submitted a check approval in the amount of $40 to a Campbellsville firm for cleaning the flag, which hangs at the Ag Center. With a replacement cost of around $800, the court happily approved the $40 cleaning fee.
The Casey County Jail requested the courts approval to enter into a contract to house Lincoln County prisoners at a rate of just over $31 a day, plus medical. That motion was also unanimously approved.
Finally, the issue of floor work at the Ag Center that was tabled from the last meeting, was re-tabled until a later date.
