An Adair County woman was taken to the hospital following a 1-vehicle accident on Monday.
The Adair County Sheriffs Office responded to the single vehicle accident 11 miles north of Columbia on Milltown Road at 7:55pmCT. The accident occurred when 17-year-old Renita Vanarsdale of Columbia, KY lost control of her vehicle, traveling off the roadway striking a ditch and overturning. A passenger, 21-year-old Brittany Murphy was treated on the scene and transported to T.J. Health Columbia for injuries sustained. Vanarsdale was not injured.
Deputy Brandon Hitch is the investigating officer assisted on the scene by Sheriff Harrison Moss.
