A 1-vehicle injury collision on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 in Adair County sent two people to the hospital.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to the 39 mile marker of the Cumberland Parkway to investigate the accident. Erb Roution of Greensburg, KY was operating a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling east, when the vehicle veered into the median and the operator over-corrected. The vehicle then slid out of control striking the guardrail, causing the vehicle to flip before landing on all four wheels.
Erb Roution and a passenger Norman Roution were transported from the scene by Adair County EMS to TJ Health Columbia and later transported by THI and Air Evac to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Columbia Police Department, Adair County Fire Department and Adair EMS.
