An investigation by members of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department and Russell Springs Police Department resulted in two persons being arrested overnight for trafficking in Methamphetamine.
 

At 2:10amCT, a search warrant obtained by Det. Joey Hoover was executed at an apartment on Holt Lane behind the Midtown Plaza. During the search, K-9 Maxo alerted to the odor of controlled substances in the bedroom and bathroom. Approximately 11 grams of crystal meth, numerous syringes and other items of drug paraphernalia were found.
 

Kevin Estes, 32, and Laura Beth Brown, 44, both of Russell Springs, KY were arrested on charges of Trafficking in Over Two Grams of Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.

 

The investigation and search were conducted by Sgt. Mark Cromwell, Deputy Dustin Bunch and Det. Joey Hoover with K-9 Maxo of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department and Officer Ethan Pike of the Russell Springs Police Department.
