An accident on Friday, May 25, 2018 involving a motorcycle and a utility line seriously injured a Russell Springs man.
According to the Russell County Sheriff's Department, 21 year old William “Colton” Hurt was southbound on U.S. 127 on a 2017 Honda motorcycle when he came across a utility line, a few feet off of the pavement. Hurt was struck in the neck area, knocking him off the motorcycle, onto the pavement. He was treated on scene by Russell County EMT's, then transported to EMS headquarters where he was airlifted to the U.K. Medical Center. Hurt was released late Saturday and continues home treatment while awaiting surgery.
The accident occurred around 12 noon Friday, May 25, 2018 approx. 4 miles south of Jamestown and remains under investigation.
