According to Sheriff Greg Speck, two individuals were arrested on drug related charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Pulaski County Thursday night that concluded a six month investigation.
In December of 2017, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information Sarah Price, Age 25, and Rachel Perret, Age 24, were allegedly trafficking in heroin from a residence on Old Pisgah Church Road. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force worked in conjunction to begin an investigation into the allegations.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned Price and Perret were travelling from Somerset to Cincinnati, OH 3-4 times per week to purchase heroin to bring back to Somerset to distribute.
Upon completing their investigation law enforcement officials from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Somerset Police Department, Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, and the Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at 716 Old Pisgah Church Road.
Deputies went to the door of the residence to attempt to gain access to the residence, but had to forcibly enter the residence. Once inside the residence, Price was located in a bathroom and admitted to disposing of heroin in the sink drain as deputies entered the residence.
The search produced approximately 6 grams of heroin along with a small amount of marijuana. It was discovered during the search, Perret and Price had been to Cincinnati and had just returned prior to deputies arriving at the residence.
Both subjects were arrested and charged with the following:
