This morning (Thursday, June 7) at 10:09amET, the Taylor Co. Sheriff's Office received a call to the Lucky Vista Motel on South Columbia Avenue of an accidental shooting. After arriving, 20-year-old Tyson Rice of Campbellsville, KY was found inside with a gunshot wound to the head. Preliminary investigation reveals that Mr. Rice and his brother were playing with a loaded 9mm when it discharged, striking Tyson Rice in the head. Rice was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital and then flown to the Univ. of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The investigation is on-going.
