According to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck, two Somerset Village Apartment residents were arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop around midnight Thursday morning, June 14, 2018.
Deputy Brandon Smith was assisting KSP Trooper Adam Childress on the traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 192 and Grundy Road. Deputy Smith obtained permission to search the vehicle from the operator, Kelly A. Reynolds, age 48 of Somerset. Upon searching the center console of the automobile, Deputy Smith discovered a prescription bottle containing a white crystalline substance. He also located a black Velcro package with two oxycodone tablets inside.
Stacie L. Keith, 49, of Somerset, KY (a passenger in the vehicle) was observed by Deputy Smith placing an oxycodone tablet in her mouth that she had obtained from an empty cigarette pack.
Kelly A. Reynolds and Stacie L. Keith were both charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified). Stacie L. Keith was additionally charged with: Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Both individuals were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center without further incident. Further charges by Trooper Childress are anticipated.
