Jamestown, KY - A 17-year-old male has fallen from the guardrail viewing area just south of Wolf Creek Dam according to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victim fell about 200 feet and was partially in the water when South Russell Fire Dept. and Russell Co EMS arrived by boat. He was brought to Halcomb’s Landing then airlifted by PHI Air Medical to UK Medical Center. The victim is in critical condition with a severe head laceration and possible broken bones.
The sheriff’s office has confirmed it was an accident with no foul play. The young man was there with family when he lost his footing and fell.
