A Jamestown, KY woman was arrested Sunday morning, July 22, 2018 on drug trafficking and other charges following an investigation by members of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. Lt. David Cain contacted Tonya Brown Harden, 33, at the Four Seasons Car Wash on North Main Street after learning the registration on the vehicle she was operating had been cancelled.
During the stop, Det. Joey Hoover utilized K-9 Maxo to sniff the exterior of the vehicle with K-9 Maxo alerting to the presence of the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of approximately four (4) grams of “crystal methamphetamine” and a set of digital scales.
Harden was arrested by Lt. Cain and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (meth, over 2 grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No/Expired Operators License, No Registration Plates and No Insurance.
