Two people were killed as a result of a head-on collision over the weekend in Taylor County, KY.
According to witnesses at the scene, 21-year-old Brandon Henry of Campbellsville, KY who was operating a 2015 Volkswagon, was attempting to pass three vehicles in a no passing zone on Hwy 210. Before he could return to the west bound lane, an eastbound 2008 Chrysler being driven by 53-year-old Mark Isham of London, KY approached. Isham drove into the emergency lane to avoid Henry's auto. At the same time, Henry attempted to avoid Isham's vehicle by driving into the eastbound emergency lane and the vehicles struck head-on. Mark Isham was pronounced dead at the scene by the Taylor Co. Coroner. Brandon Henry was treated at the scene by Taylor Co. EMS and transported to Taylor Regional Hospital where he died a short time later. Henry's passenger, Katelyn Carnes of Glendale, KY was treated at the scene and flown by Air Evac to Univ. of Louisville Hospital.
The accident occurred at 6:15pmET on Highway 210 and was investigated by Dickie Benningfield with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. Taylor Co. Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene.
