Columbia Police, Kentucky State Police and Adair County Sheriff's office apprehended a male late Monday afternoon, August 20, 2018 after the suspect eluded police multiple times and then finally fled on foot. He was described to the public as a white male with multiple tattoos, short black hair, approximately 5'10" and 180 lbs. Rumors speculated, leaving many to believe officials were on the trail of fugituve Shawn Christie, however it was not. Ricky A. Franklin, 32, of Columbia, KY was apprehended by KSP. He was arrested on three bench warrants and also charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd degree.
Franklin was lodged in the Adair Co. Regional Jail.
