On Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 4:39pmCT, Adair County E911 Center received a call of a 2-vehicle auto accident involving a motorcycle 4 miles east of Columbia on Liberty Road.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office responded and was able to determine that a 2008 Toyota car driven by Karen Terry of Columbia, KY had come to a stop on Liberty Road after a vehicle in front of her attempted to make a left turn onto Beulah Chapel Road. A 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, being operated by Jonathan Neat of Columbia, KY was unable to stop and struck Terry's vehicle in the rear-end.
Jonathan Neat was transported to TJ Health Columbia by Adair County EMS and airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital. A passenger on the motorcycle, Amanda Foster of Columbia, KY was transported to TJ Health where she was treated and released.
Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Brandon Hitch were the investigating officers.
