(Taylor County, KY September 11, 2018) On Friday, September 7, 2018 at approximately 9:47pmET, Trooper Clint Bale was on routine patrol in the limits of Campbellsville on S. Central Avenue, when he observed a silver 2002 Nissan Altima with one headlight illuminated. Prior to initiating a traffic stop, Trooper Bale observed the driver throw, what appeared to be a prescription pill container, out of the window. 25 year old Deshawn Douglas of Lebanon, KY was detained while Trooper Bale retrieved the item thrown from the vehicle. Douglas confessed the container had cocaine and Lortabs in it.
Douglas was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (cocaine), Tampering with physical evidence, One headlight, Failure to or improper signal, Possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree (drug unspecified), Possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree (drug unspecified) and Prescription controlled substance not in proper container - 1st offense.
Douglas was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
