On Monday, September 24, 2018, at 8:00amCT, members of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department, Russell Springs Police Department, Jamestown Police Department, Kentucky State Police and KY Dept. of Fish & Wildlife began locating and apprehending individuals on Russell District Court arrest warrants for illegal drug trafficking. This comes after a 3-month investigation conducted by members of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department. In all, 31 persons are being charged with more than 50 felony offenses as a result of this investigation. Of that number, 14 have been taken into custody as of 2:00 p.m. today (Monday) with efforts continuing to locate the remainder of the accused.
Those arrested on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 and the charges they now face include:

- Shelby Hunt, 26, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (suboxone)
- Steven Yager, 40, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) & Complicity to T/C/S 1st Degree (meth)
- Angela Passmore, 36, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (over 2 grams) (5 counts)
- Kenneth Justin Dyer, 33, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (over 2 grams)
- Walter “Buddy” Russell, 37, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth)
- Jerome Summitt, 44, of Jamestown – T/C/S 1st Degree 1st Degree (meth) & T/C/S 1st Degree (suboxone)
- Kevin Dick, 44, of Dunnville – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (two counts)
- Cayce Fowler, 21, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (two counts)
- Justin Gregory, 39, of Science Hill – Complicity to T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (two counts)
- Latisha Goff AKA Latisha Summitt, 31, of Jamestown – T/C/S 1st Degree (suboxone)
- Aldon McQueary, Jr, 48, of Russell Springs – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (over 2 grams) (two counts)
- Leeanna Camfield Willis, 43, of Russell Springs – Complicity to T/C/S 1st Degree (meth) (over 2 grams)
- Sandy Mann, 46, of Jamestown – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth)
- Justin Turner, 23, of Jamestown – T/C/S 1st Degree (meth)
Drug trafficking warrants will also be served on 4 individuals that have been incarcerated in recent weeks on other charges.
All cases will be presented to the Russell County Grand Jury during their October and November sessions.
