A Green County woman has died as a result of a 1-vehicle accident on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Green County Sheriff Robbie Beard said that 36-year-old Shannon Johnson of Highway 88, Greensburg, KY lost control of her auto on Old Springs Road just south of Greensburg. Johnson traveled over an embankment and collided with a utility pole. She was taken to Jane Todd Hospital with a severe head injury and later transferred to a Louisville hospital in critical condition. Johnson was placed on life support and died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, according to Sheriff Beard.
The fatal accident occurred on Monday at 3:15pmCT and was investigated by Officer Tim Stump with the Green County Sheriff's Office.
