Pulaski Co. Sheriff Greg Speck reports that 3 people were injured in a motorcycle verses auto accident on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
At approximately 2pmET on Sunday afternoon, Deputy Zack Mayfield responded to a 911 call of an injury accident at the intersection of North Highway 27 and Highway 635. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Mayfield found three victims suffering injuries sustained when a motorcycle and an automobile collided.
Deputy Mayfield's investigation found that Alice Mobbs, age 55 of Science Hill, KY was operating a 2010 Honda automobile northbound on Highway 27 when she attempted a left turn on to Highway 635. According to her statement to the Deputy, Ms. Mobbs was unable to see a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Malcolm Miracle, age 53 of Tazewell, Tennessee. The two collided in the southbound lanes of Highway 27.
Pulaski County EMS personnel treated three victims at the scene for injuries sustained in the accident. Alice Mobbs and a passenger on the motorcycle, Lydia Miracle, age 50 of Tazewell, Tennessee were transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for further treatment. Malcolm Miracle was airlifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center by Air Methods.
Assisting at the scene were Deputies Aaron Curtis and Brett Thomas. Also assisting deputies were volunteers from the Science Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
The accident investigation continues by the Sheriff's Office.
