PULASKI COUNTY DRUG BUST 10/8/18

Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck reports that a Nancy man was arrested Saturday afternoon, October 6, 2018 after deputies answered a trespassing complaint at the Comfort Inn in Somerset, Kentucky.

Deputies Zach Mayfield and Dan Pevley responded to a 911 dispatched call of an individual at the Comfort Inn who allegedly would not leave the premises at the manager's request.

Deputy Pevley made contact with the individual, Cortney L. Slusher, age 40 of Nancy, Kentucky.  In the course of their investigation, the deputies learned that Mr. Slusher was wanted on two Pulaski County District Court Warrants and one Adair County District Court Warrant.  He was immediately placed under arrest.

A search of a duffle bag that the suspect was carrying produced a wallet containing $6,100 cash in $100 bills.  A prescription bottle that contained 3.1 grams of a crystalline substance that appeared to be Methamphetamine was also located.

Mr. Slusher was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on the following charges:  1. Non-Payment of Court Costs, Fees or Fines (Pulaski District Court).

2.  Failure to Appear (Pulaski District Court).  3. Failure to Appear (Adair District Court).

Deputies anticipate further charges to be presented to a Pulaski County Grand Jury pending the results from the Kentucky State Police Laboratory in Frankfort, Kentucky.
