Taylor County (October 25, 2018) – On Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at approximately 6:28pmET, KSP Trooper Dexter Colvin was on routine patrol on North Jackson Street in the limits of Campbellsville when he observed the driver of a 2002 Mercury not wearing a seatbelt. Trooper Colvin initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of McDonalds. As Trooper Colvin exited his vehicle, the driver fled. Trooper Colvin pursued the subject and observed him run through six stop signs without braking and continued to flee turning westbound on US 68 towards Greensburg, entering the eastbound lane running several oncoming vehicles off the roadway. The driver ran through a red light at the intersection of HWY 68, 210, and 55 reaching speeds in excess of 100 MPH. The driver lost control of the vehicle on Marshall Ridge Road and overturned. Trooper Colvin observed the suspect exit the vehicle and run into an open field. After pursuing the subject, Trooper Colvin was able to detain and arrest him.
Joshua Milby, age 31 of Campbellsville, KY was charged with Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st degree (motor vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, Wanton Dndangerment 1st degree-police officer, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree (on foot), Menacing, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief. Milby was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
