The Russell County Grand Jury returned numerous indictments on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018.
- Cody Morrison, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony. In a separate indictment, Morrison was also charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony, trafficking in a controlled substance within a 1,000 feet of a school, a class D felony, and with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Mitchell Ballenger, 31, was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, tampering with physical evidence, disorderly conduct, 2nd degree, a class B misdemeanor, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, a class A misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance not in its proper container, a class A misdemeanor, and with being a persistent felony offender, 1st
- Christopher Cape, 33, and Nicole Tarry, 28, were each charged with receiving stolen property over $500, a class D felony, and with being persistent felony offenders, 1st Tarry was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony, possession of a legend drug, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor. Cape was also charged with fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
- Sarah Bethany Cook, 22, was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500, a class D felony, criminal mischief, 1st degree, a class D felony, three counts of criminal attempt to commit theft by unlawful taking over $500, a class A misdemeanor, two counts of criminal mischief, 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, three counts of theft by unlawful taking under $500, a class A misdemeanor, and public intoxication.
- Michael Harmon, 28, was charged with improper registration plate, failure to maintain insurance, theft of identity, possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, and with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Jeff T. Scott, 50, was charged with assault, 3rd degree, a class D felony, and with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Daniel Hammond, 39, and Matthew Jones, 28, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
- Robert Russell, 37, was charged with trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces, under 5 pounds, a class D felony, and with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
- Steven L. Yager, 40, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
- Christian L. Spiller, 22, was charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, 1st degree, a class D felony, criminal mischief, 1st degree, a class D felony, possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor, and operating on a suspended license.
- Amber Jones, 44, was charged with bail jumping, 1st degree, a class D felony.
- Matthew R. McGowan, 18, and Nathan Kelsay, 19, were each charged with burglary, 1st degree, a class B felony, three counts of theft by unlawful taking, firearm, a class D felony, and theft by unlawful taking over $500, a class D felony.
- Rachel Jones, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
- Jonathan McElroy, 26, and Amy McElroy, 32, were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
- Jerome Summit, 44, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 2nd degree, a class D felony, and two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony.
- Steven L. Yager, 40, and Shelby Hunt, 26, were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 2nd degree, a class D felony.
- Mark Williams, 25, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony, and with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Justin A. Gregory, 39, Emily Luttrell, 26, and Bryson McFall, 26, were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony. Gregory was also charged with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Cayce Fowler, 21, and Kevin Dick, 44, were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony, and trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class C felony.
- Dana M. Kinnett, 42, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony, and with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd
- Michael Blakey, 53, and William E. Miller, 48, were each charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, a class D felony. Walter Russell, 37, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, a class C felony. Additionally, Blakey was charged with being a persistent felony offender, 2nd degree and Miller was charged with being a persistent felony offender, 1st
- Latisha Goff, 31, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, 2nd degree, a class D felony.
- Timothy N. Roy, 43, was charged with rape, 1st degree, a class B felony, sodomy, 1st degree, a class A felony, incest, a class B felony, and incest, a class A felony.
- Annalisa Foley, 51, was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree, a class D felony, and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card under $500, a class A misdemeanor.
- Steven Malloy Murphy, 42, was charged with burglary 2nd degree, a class C felony, theft by unlawful taking under $500, a class A misdemeanor, theft by unlawful taking over $500, a class D felony, and burglary, 2nd degree, a class C felony.
