Two people were injured in a two vehicle accident Sunday involving motorcycles.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded around 4:45pm Sunday to the scene on Hacker Road in Somerset. Investigators say both bikes left the roadway at the same time. 21 year old Steven Barron of Somerset, KY was operating a 2017 Harley Davidson and Austin West, age 20, also of Somerset, KY was riding a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle. According to the two riders, they entered a sharp curve too fast and were unable to negotiate the curve and left the roadway.
Both men were treated at the scene by EMS personnel and was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment. West was later airlifted to UK Medical Center by Air Methods for further treatment.
Somerset Fire Department personnel also responded. The investigation is on-going.
