On January 1, Casey Co. Deputy Chad Weddle arrested Melissa A. Wilard, 40, of Short Town Rd. 

Deputy Weddle, along with Liberty Police Chief Steve Garrett and K9 Mako received a call in reference to possible drug usage. The owner of the property stated that he had seen Ms. Wilard use meth in his home. Mako alerted on two areas and were found to have drugs. Wilard is charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia - buy/possess.
