The name of the driver killed in a crash on the Louie B. Nunn (Cumberland Parkway) in Russell County has been released.
The 2-vehicle accident occurred 4 miles east of Russell Springs at 4:00pmCT on Monday, May 20, 2019. Billy Wilson, age 39, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio was operating a 2008 Nissan car traveling west on the Cumberland Parkway and collided with a 2013 Chevy Suburban that was traveling east, being driven by 52-year-old Christopher Kamerun Mcnnane of Nashville, TN who died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Wilson was arrested for DUI and lodged in the Russell County Jail. Additional charges may be forthcoming. A female and 2 juvenile passengers with Billy Wilson sustained only minor injuries.
The deadly crash blocked the eastbound lanes for several hours. Russell County Deputy Nathan Ginn is investigating the accident.
