(Springfield KY, July 12, 2019) On Thursday, July 11, 2019 at approximately 11:53 PM ET, Units from KSP Post 15 responded to a shooting incident that occurred at the intersection of U.S. 150 and KY 555. When Troopers arrived, it was determined that Andre Hawkins, 32, of Lebanon, KY had been shot while he was in his vehicle at that intersection. Hawkins left the scene and went to a nearby McDonalds to use his cell phone. Hawkins informed Police that Dyron Johnson from Springfield had shot him. Washington County EMS transported Hawkins to SpringView Hospital in Lebanon where he was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
Following further investigation, Units from Post 15 obtained and executed a search warrant in the city limits of Lebanon on West Chandler Street. Dyron A. Johnson, 38, of Springfield, KY was arrested and charged with Assault 1st degree and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. Johnson was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.
