On Wednesday, November 13, 2019 the Adair County Sheriffs Office was dispatched to the injury collision on Flat Rock Road, 13 miles south of Columbia in the Breeding community.
Hannah Higgs, 18, of Columbia, KY was operating a 2008 Ford Fusion when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, went up an earth embankment and overturned. A passenger, Cheyenne Smith of Columbia, KY was treated on scene by Adair EMS and transported to TJ Health Columbia. Higgs was not injured. Seatbelts were in use at the time of the accident.
Chief Deputy Justin Cross is investigating the collision. He was was assisted by Sheriff Josh Brockman and the Breeding Fire Department.
