According to Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston, the pursuit began in the city limits of Jamestown, KY and ended on KY 92 (Boat Dock Road) at Pumpkin Creek Resort. The vehicle pursuit started after a blue Nissan SUV passed a Sheriff's Deputy and several cars at a high rate of speed near the Dollar General Market on Hwy. 127 in Jamestown.
42-year-old Brandon Cade of Russell Springs, KY was arrested after the pursuit ended. Cade was charged with: No Operators License, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (2nd Offense), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Careless Driving, Reckless Driving, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree, and Driving on a DUI Suspended License (2nd Offense). Cade was lodged in the Russell Co. Detention Center.
The case will be presented to the Russell County Grand Jury. Deputy Sheriff John Wine is the investigating Officer. He was assisted at the scene by other members of the Russell County Sheriff's Dept., Jamestown Police Dept., KY Fish and Wildlife, and KSP.
