In the continued battle against the trafficking of illegal drugs in Russell County, the Russell County Sheriff's Office executed a Search Warrant at a residence on Cameron Snow Road in the Indian Cave Hill area of Bernard Ridge off Hwy 619. Arrested at the scene was 61-year-old Herbert Owens. He was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Owens was lodged in the Russell County Dentention Center.
Deputy Kenny Perkins is the investigating officer. He was assisted at the scene by other members of the Russell County Sheriffs Office.
Sheriff Derek Polston reminds all Russell County citizens that if you suspect illegal drug activity in your neighborhood, call the Russell County Sheriffs Office Drug/Wanted Persons Tip-Line at 270-343-8116. All callers will remain anonymous.
Sheriff Polston goes on to say "Working together, we can get the drug traffickers behind bars."
