Jeffrey Newland, 35, was taken into custody by Russell County Deputy Sheriff Nathan Ginn and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1^st Degree, 1^st Offense (Heroin). Newland was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.

Dotson was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
