On Sunday, August 27, 2023 the Adair County Sheriffs Office received a complaint of a woman possibly under the influence in the Holmes Bend area.
Deputy Chris Tweedy located the suspected vehicle and found the operator passed out, slumped over the steering wheel. Upon making contact with the driver, it was determined she was under the influence of alcohol and was found to be in possession of approximately 3 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail was 39-year-old Amanda Quentana of Nelson County, KY who was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree (Methamphetamine)
- Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and
- Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle
The Adair County Sheriffs Office is continuing the investigation.
