FRANCIS TUTT GLASGOW, AGE 95

 
Frances Tutt Glasgow, 95, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born January 23, 1922, in Milltown, KY. to the late James R. Tutt, Jr. and Annie Blakeman Tutt.  She married Glenn Shirley Glasgow on September 5, 1942 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2010. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son; David Tutt Glasgow and her five Tutt brothers; Garnett, Page, Tommy, Billy and Herman.
 
She was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women for 66 years and a charter member of the Bliss Homemakers Club, belonging for 63 years.  In 1982, she was chosen as Homemaker of the Year by the Business and Professional Woman’s Club.  In 1994, she was awarded the State Homemakers Journalism Award and received the Homemakers State Leadership Award in 2008. She was a 1942 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and a member of their Golden Alumni Society. She loved God, her church, family and friends. Her interests were Genealogy, family history, writing her thoughts, poems and history of Milltown.
 
SURVIVORS
2 sons: Dr. Glenn Patrick Glasgow & wife Lyndia, Louisville & London, KY;  Michael Collier Glasgow & wife Lana, Columbia
1 daughter: Susan Celeste Glasgow, Louisville
4 grandchildren: Elizabeth R. Glasgow, Los Angeles, CA; Lauren Celeste Rogers & husband Dr. Adam P. Rogers, Bowling Green; Kendra Leigh Esenbock & husband Michael, Lexington; Austin Michael Glasgow, Columbia
2 great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Paige and Peyton Harvey Esenbock of Lexington
1 sister: Nita Tutt Hesford, Columbia
 
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Columbia United Methodist Church with Rev. Neil Janes and Dr. John Hatton officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.
 
While floral tributes are appreciated, please consider a contribution to the Lindsey Wilson Endowment/Glasgow Family Memorial Fund, which may be made at the funeral home. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
