Harvey Wheeler, 78, of Liberty, KY passed away on November 6, 2017, at Liberty Care Center.
Born on September 13, 1939, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Dewey and Pearl Morgan Wheeler. Harvey was a farmer, truck driver, and worked in a factory. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church. Harvey pastored at various churches throughout his life. He loved his family and was known for his humbleness and kind personality to all.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Louise Brown Wheeler, whom he wed on September 24, 1960; a daughter, Tammie (Greg) Bernard of Dunnville; a son, Tim Wheeler of Casey County; two sisters, Barbara Ann (Jimmy) Hale of Shepherdsville and Peggy (Rollen) Thomas of Noblesville, Indiana; and a brother, Phillip (Connie) Wheeler of Liberty. Harvey is also survived by his two granddaughters, Rachel and Sidney.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Warner and Bro. Carol Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
