Don C. Hale Sr., 80, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2017 at 4:05 am at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY after an illness. He was born December 19, 1937 near Chance, KY the son of the late Everett and Edna Humes Hale. He was preceded in death by a son Chris Everett Hale in 1986, two brothers Ron Hale, Kenny Hale, four sisters Betty Sue Hale, Bernice Velman, Beatrice Jessee & Ramona Rogers.
Mr. Hale is survived by his wife: Geraldine O’Brien Hale of Columbia, KY
Two sons: Donald Charles Hale Jr. and wife Donna of Valparaiso, Indiana; Rick L. Hale and wife Kim M. of Downers Grove, Illniois
One daughter: Melody Ann Brown and husband Jeff of Columbia, KY
Two brothers: Everett Hale Jr. and Larry Hale both of Shepherdsville, KY
One sister: Brenda Hale of Louisville, KY
10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren survive
Also survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends
Mr. Hale was a member of the Charity Baptist Church and was a retired machine operator for Worthington Industries in Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, woodworking and playing cards with family.
Funeral service: Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 7:30 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Visiting on Monday, January 8, 2018 after 10:00 AM and funeral services at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Damar- Kaminski Funeral Home in Justice, Illinois
Burial will take place in the Bethania Cemetery in Justice, Illinois
