Herman Cook, age 76 of Green County, KY, was born April 12, 1941 in Green Co. to the late Ulys Warren Cook & Cora Velma Atwell Cook. He departed this life Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion in Campbellsville. He was a Stock Manager for Houchens Industries, where he retired after 37 ½ years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman & golfer.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters: Varnam L. Cook, Glendon Cook, Ada Jean Wilson, Glaydean Bryant, Ernestine Whitlow and Catherine White.
SURVIVORS: His wife Judy Wright Cook, 2 sons & daughters-in-law: Bryan K & Angela Cook of Columbia; Brad and Deanna Cook of Louisville; 1 brother & sister-in-law: Woodrow & Nora Jane Cook of Greensburg; 1 sister: Burnestine Benningfield of Campbellsville; 4 grandchildren: Becca, Winston, Matthew & Ethan Cook, 2 step grandchildren: Alex & Kate Durham; 2 special fur babies: Reesey & Speckles, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Central Time Monday, February 19, 2018 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Hadley and Rev. Todd Young officiating.
Visitation: 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 and after 7 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018
Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, Campbellsville, KY with Military Honors
