Porter Lee Hamlett, 70, of Columbia, KY died Monday, February 18, 2019 at T. J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.  Born in Adair County, he was the son of the late John and Eliza Murrell Hamlett.  

Mr. Hamlett formerly attended the Kellyville Community Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6097.  He was former employee of Houchens and enjoyed farming after retiring from IMO Pump.

1 brother: Kelly Hamlett of Columbia, KY

1 sister: Luzeane Hamlett of Columbia, KY

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, James Hamlett and 2 sisters, Polly England and Edra Reliford.

Funeral Service: 1:00pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating

Burial: Columbia Cemetery

Visitation: After 5:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home

Pallbearers: Richard Hamlett, Chris Reliford, Barry Hamlett, Herbert Pike, Travis Kimbler and Chad Wheat
