Lester M. Bradshaw, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully in Zephyrhills, Florida on October 2, 2019. He was born in Russell County, KY to the late Ivy and Bessie Bradshaw.
A gifted basketball player in high school, he met the love of his life, Regina, at the age of 17. They married in 1952 before having 4 sons: Lester, Jr., Joe, Jeff, and Rob. A Korean War Veteran, Lester served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. In 1962, Lester and his family moved to Maryland, where he cofounded Eastern Tunneling in 1963 and Bradshaw Construction in 1982. Under his leadership, along with four sons, the company grew significantly over the next several decades, becoming a leader in robotic tunneling today. After Lester's retirement, he and Regina moved to Oldsmar, Florida where he could be found out on the golf course, fishing with his grandchildren, or simply having a quiet night in full of card games and endless stories with friends and family. With his easy-going, southern charm, Lester had a true gift in making everyone around him smile.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Clela & Thelma, 2 brothers: Leland & Melvin, and 1 son: Joe.
