Alvis G. Floyd, 85, of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Russell County Hospital. He was born in Adair County, KY, the son of the late Charles Henry & Mattie Ella Rooks Floyd.
Mr. Floyd was a member of the Millerfield Brethren in Christ Church and veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, watching sports (especially University of Kentucky basketball), being outdoors riding his 4-wheeler and spending time with his family and friends.

4 daughters: Anita Pike (Tim) of Russell Springs, KY; Cindy Floyd and Lori Ann Floyd both of Mt. Washington, KY; Amy Floyd of Lexington, KY
6 grandchildren: Tim “Andy” Pike (Angela), Jacob Pike (Melissa Raines), Devon Pike (Nathan Acree), Logan Godby, Hannah Godby and Abigayl Godby
4 great grandchildren: Garrett, Emmie and Breanna Pike and Harper Acree
1 sister: Carrie Lindsey of Mt. Washington, KY

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings James and Charles C. Floyd, Thelma Wells and Nellie Corbin.
Funeral Service: 11:00amCT on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Lehman, Bro. Troy Grider and Bro. Jordan Burton officiating
Burial: Freedom Cemetery
Visitation: Friday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and will continue on Saturday morning
Pallbearers: Garrett Pike, Andy Pike, Jacob Pike, Logan Godby, Byron Raines, Steven Corbin and Keith Curry.
Honorary pallbearers: Willie George, Leon Huff, James Green, Dallas Neat and Charles Neat.
