LELAND RAY CROCKETT, 76, RUSSELL COUNTY, KY

 
Leland Ray Crockett, 76, of Russell County, KY passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Campbellsville. He was born on February 2, 1946 in Russell County, a son of the late Thomas and Lucy Bell Crockett.  
 
He was a retired employee of Stephens Pipe and Steel. Leland always had a love for dogs, especially his dog, Pee-Wee.
 
Along with his parents, Leland was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Thomas Crockett, Herbert Crockett and Hobert Crockett; 1 sister, Pearlie McQueary; and 2 brothers-in-law: Jerry Polston and Denver “Jack” McQueary.
 
SURVIVORS:
1 daughter: Valera Lynn Badgley (Gary) of Russell County
2 stepsons: Gregory Weaver of Russell County and Harold Burton (Vern) of Cloverdale, Indiana
1 sister: Orpha Polston of Russell County
Special niece: Christy Robertson (Darris) of Russell County
A host of other nieces and nephews
 
Funeral service: Monday, January 10, 2022 at 1:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating
 
Interment: Cain Town Cemetery
 
Visitation: After 11:00amCT on Monday at the funeral home
 
Pallbearers: Ralph Hadley, Chris McGowan, Miles McGowan, Darris Robertson and Ken Hudson.
