Charles Owens, 93, of Mt. Orab, Ohio, formerly of Ingle, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1928 in Ingle, Kentucky, son of the late Everett Thedore and Leoine Frances Wilson Owens.
He worked with his father on the family farm until he enlisted in the military. He served his country as a U.S. Army Corporal in the Korean War. After serving, he went to work for the Mead Corporation as a dye press operator where he gave over 28 years of dedicated service. Charles was a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, carpentry, and woodworking. Charles loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

6 great-grandchildren: Collin Whisman, Ethan Whisman, Stella Pegoli, Kinsley Fannin, Evelyn Owens and Jameson Fannin
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Findley Owens, Ancel Owens, Waldo Owens, Desoto Owens and Luther Owens; and 3 sisters: Beatrice Owens Pettyjohn, Irene Owens Scales and Charlotte Owens Ricker.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 12:00 noon CST at Bernard Funeral Home
Interment: Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, KY with military honors performed by the Casey County Honor Guard
Visitation: After 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday at the funeral home
