Wilbur K. Barnes, 90, of Jamestown, KY, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born in Rowena, KY on February 14, 1932, a son of the late Martha (Gaines) and Beckham B. Barnes.
Wilbur served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Columbia Christian Church, and a retired Superintendent of Schools. Other positions he held in the school system were Teacher, Principal, and Head of Transportation.

Granddaughter: Jalena (Garrett) Bryant of Jamestown, KY
Great-granddaughter: Jacklyn Bryant

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lane Barnes.

Interment: Wheat Cemetery in Jamestown, KY
