Pearl Cecil George, 94, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was born in Adair County on May 12, 1928 to the late James Otha and Gertrude Helm Melson.
Ms. George attended the House Upon the Rock Tabernacle Church in Russell Springs, KY. She enjoyed puzzle books, bingo, flower gardening, watching University of Kentucky basketball, and spending time with her family and friends.

5 children: Judy Sullivan (Charles) of Columbia, KY, Beverly Holt of Campbellsville, KY, Janet Carroll (Bill) of Campbellsville, KY, Jimmy George of Columbia, KY and Sheila O’Banion of Campbellsville, KY
2 granddaughters: Bridgette Smith (Todd) of Columbia, KY and Tasha Rogers (Jon) of Greensburg, KY
4 great-grandchildren: Kayla Smith, Madison Smith, Easton Rogers, and Sawyer Rogers
Several nieces & nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law: William Ray O’Banion and G. B. Holt and 10 siblings: Eugene, Robert, Elwood, Ralph, Hershel, Russell and Clyde Melson, Mable Cape, Laura Bell Melson, and Lydia Richards.

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation: Saturday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Sunday until time for the service
